Tak for tegning - er meningen at GND (common) kobles sammen med de
andre GND - og at ingen af dem har kontakt til andet end hinanden?
Flere oplysninger:
Data udgang er aktiveret på GPS'en - det virker med dataoverførsel
til NAV repeateren.
Da jeg tilkoblede VHF'en (med strømpe GND til negativ spænding)
stoppede dataoverførsel til NAV repeater'en - det skyldes måske
forbindelsen til negativ spænding?
Fra NAV repeater'en kommer et kabel med en hvid og en blå ledning. Den
hvide er forbundet til den hvide fra Furunoen, mens den blå er
forbundet til flere ledninger af ukendt oprindelse (brugt båd), men
én af dem er den blå fra Furunoen - er det mon i dette bundt jeg skal
tilslutte strømpe GND'en fra VHF'en?

For lang tid siden fik jeg et program til GPS-Furuno 3XX. Jeg skriver lige
txt-filen nedenfor:
Program FurunoGPS
-----------------
This program performs data exchange with a Furuno GP30, GP31, GP35 or GP36
GPS receiver.
You can copy all the waypoints and routes from The GPS to your PC. On your
PC
it's possible to modify and print the waypoints and the routes. Afterwards
all
the data can be send to the GPS.
On the PC you can store the data under different filenames.
It's not possible te receive or send some waypoints or routes, the GPS can
only transfer the total data blocks.
The Datafile
------------
A demonstration GPSdatafile is supplied with the application. When you start
the applicaton for the first time, the field 'GPS data' is filled with the
name 'GPSDATA'. This is the current connected dataset.
With the file picker button 'Select File' you can select an other existing
GPSdata file as the current connected dataset.
You can create a new, empty dataset in two ways:
1. Type a name in the 'GPS data' field. You will be prompted to create a new
file if the file doesn't exist.
2. Push the 'Select File' button en type a filename in the 'File name'
field.
Here you will be also prompted to create a new file if the file doesn't
exist.
When you send data to the GPS, always the current connected data will be
send.
If you will receive data from the GPS the current connected data will be
overwritten! (You will be asked for a confirmation.)
Receiving data from The GPS
---------------------------
Normally the GPS sends continuous data (NMEA sentences). If the 'Get data'
button is pushed, the program detects the regular data flow en generates an
error message, because it was expecting waypoint and route data.
So, if you want to receive data from the GPS choose the right GPS mode:
- select 'MENU'
- select in the MAIN MENU the option 'I/O SETUP'
- select in I/O SETUP 'SAVE WP/RTE -> PC'
- now push the 'Get data' button of the GPS program
- push the 'ENT' button on the GPS to start downloading data to the PC
The program displays the downloding progress in blue text under the 'Get
data'
and 'Put Data' buttons. If the download is finished the program displays
'READY, ... lines received'. Now you can use the GPS in a normal way.
Updating Waypoints
------------------
Press the 'Waypoints' button. You can directly edit the displayed waypoints.
To delete (remove) a waypoint click the small white field bwteen the current
record mark '>' and the waypoint name. This small field becomes black and
when
you scroll the table the line disapears. (No recall possible!)
The Furuno GPS assigns small pictures to a waypoint. The mark assigned to
the
waypoint on the curren line is marked in the 'Mark' box with a yellow
square.
To change the assigned mark-sign, simply click a new pickture in the 'Mark'
box.
The 'Cancel' button will exit the Waypoints screen without saving the
changes
you made.
Updating Routes
---------------
Press the 'Routes' button.
Left you find the routes, always named as 'first waypoint' -> 'last
waypoint'.
The order of the routes in the table can be changed with the 'mover buttons'
in front of the route name.
The middle table contains the waypoints in the highlighted (yellow) route.
Click the 'Add Waypoint' buttom to append the highlighted (yellow) waypoint
form the right table. Or dubble-click on a waypoint in the most right table.
The appended waypoint can be moved using the mover button in the the middle
waypoint table.
A highlighted route can be removed by pressing the 'Delete Route' button. A
highlighted waypoint in a route can be removed by pressing the 'Delete
Waypoint' button.
If you press the 'Cancel' button you will exit the Routes screen and changes
will NOT be saved.
Printing
--------
Click the 'Waypoints' or 'Routes' button, depending on the report you whish.
The 'Print' button within the choosen window activates the blue printer
selection/options window.
The program remembers the last printer you used for output. If you click
'Ok'
the printer output is sending to the last used printer. If that printer is
not
set or changed, the program asks for an outputprinter, showing a list of the
installed printers. You can force this printer selection window by
activating
'Via printersetup' on the radiobutton. The 'Preview' option shows the
printer
output on screen.
The printing format is A4. If you prefer Letter format, change the file
SETTINGS.INI.
Locate the section [Reports], if the section doesn't exist, create it.
Append the 'Paper=Letter' in that section. So it looks like:

Limitations
-----------
The Furuno GPS30/GP35 has some limitations by design.
- The maximum number of waypoints is limited to 350.
- The numbers of routes is limited to 30. The maximum number of waypoints
per
route is 30.
Limitations for the Furuno GPS31/GP36
- The maximum number of waypoints is limited to 950.
- The numbers of routes is limited to 30. The maximum number of waypoints
per
route is 50.
The program check these limitations.
Setup for GPS30/GP35 or GPS31/GP36
----------------------------------
The program 'knows' the type of your GPS. It's in the SETTINGS.INI file.
The default type is: GP30 or GP35.
To change the settings:
- open SETTINGS.INI with a text editor, for example NOTEPAD
- locate the section [Furuno]
- change the line 'Type=GP-30' in 'Type=GP-31', 'Type=GP-35' or
'Type=GP-36',
depending of the furuno type you have
- save SETTINGS.INI

COMM-port
---------
Default the the COM1 port of the PC is used.
To change to COM2:
- open SETTINGS.INI with a text editor, for example NOTEPAD
- locate the section [COMM-port] (normal the first one)
- change the line 'Port=COM1' in 'Port=COM2'
- save SETTINGS.INI
