"This video is a side-by side comparison between my lap 296 from August
2001, and a lap with Helmut Dähne filmed in August 2000.
I made this video to give an impression of Dähnes riding style and line
choice compared to my own. Studying this video reveals some interesting
points. Dähne enters many corners slower than I do, but this makes it
possible to straighten the bike earlier and go earlier and harder on the
gas. It is also safer, since he has more time to evaluate the track. He is
of course more precise in his line choice, and use the whole track in almost
every corner. "
