Venezuelan FreeDiver Carlos Coste Injured

Carlos Coste, the current World Champion in the Variable Weight discipline,
has been injured whilst attempting a training dive for a No Limits World
Record attempt in Sharm-el-Sheikh Egypt.
According to Gabriela Contreras, Coste's Girlfriend and Manager, he was
attempting 183m training dive and was experiencing disorientation when below
100m.
He was underwater for 5min 02sec and is currently being treated at the Sharm
Medical Center which is a local Hyperbaric facility in Sharm-el-Sheikh,
Egypt.
First reports from Coste's doctor indicate possible brain damage and minor
paralysis on the right side of his body.
Doctors are continuing diagnosis and treatment and it is likely that Carlos
will be transfered to Germany for treatment.
