If you have a computer that supports USB 2.0, and if you have a preinstalled
USB 2.0 driver from the OEM, you continue to use the earlier preinstalled
drivers for USB 2.0 even after you install SP1.
Så jeg har hentet en vejledning til at få opdateret USB-driverne:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/
2. Open Device Manager and view Devices by Type.
To open Device Manager, either run devmgmt.msc from a command prompt, or
follow these steps:a. Click Start, right-click My Computer, and then click
Manage.
b. Expand System Tools, click Device Manager, and then click Devices by
type on the View menu.
3. Right-click the USB 2.0 EHCI Host controller, and then click Update
Driver.
You can find the USB Host controller entry under either of the following
locations:. Universal Serial Bus Controllers.
.. Other Devices, where it will be labeled as Universal Serial Bus controller
with a yellow exclamation mark next to it.
4. Click Install the software automatically (Recommended), and then click
Next.
5. Click Finish when installation is complete. You may be prompted to
restart your computer to finish the installation.
Confirming Driver Versions
To confirm that you have the latest USB 2.0 drivers from Windows XP SP1,
make sure that you have the following (or later) driver versions:
Date Version File name
29-Aug-2002 5.1.2600.1106 Usbport.sys
29-Aug-2002 5.1.2600.1106 Usbhub.sys
29-Aug-2002 5.1.2600.1106 Hccoin.dll
29-Aug-2002 5.1.2600.1106 Usbehci.sys
PS. Vender tilbage een af dagene, når jeg får arbejdet lidt mere med
problemet.
