Hej NG
USA racer mod det CO2-neutrale ethanol-samfund - hvad med EU/Danmark?:

"...In fact, over 2 million cars per year in the USA already are set up
to run on E85, and no one told us about this..."
Make your own Fuel:

"...This is an alcohol fuel still, not a whisky still. It is designed
for making 20 litres/hour of fuel grade alcohol... You can turn
thrown-away food into fuel..."
Is it legal?:

Citat: "...Getting a licence from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and
Firearms (BATF) is not difficult, and only takes about a month..."
Making fuel out of Rice Straw, Wheat straw & Corn stalks:

Citat: "...
In short, a yeast that feeds on xylose can feed on almost anything in
the plant kingdom.
....
It's the property of Purdue University & they have taken a completely
novel approach to marketing this patented technology. They are “leasing”
(not selling) the yeast to a Canadian company, Iogen.
http://www.Iogen.ca Iogen is already producing ethanol and selling it to
Petro-Canada for mixing with gas. They are claiming 75 Gallons per ton
of straw, with roughly 2/3 of the straw being converted..."
Converting your engine
http://www.google.dk/search?q=cache:running_on_alcohol.tripod.com/id26.html
Citat: "...
If you want to use your home-made ethanol in your car as E-85 (85%
ethanol and 15% gasoline, before you mix it with gasoline, it has to be
100% pure
....
If you increased your compression and do everything to optimize your
engine for alcohol, it will actually get better mileage and/or more
power, as a higher octane (slower burning) fuel is more efficient.
....
you can never remove that last 3% of water using a still of any kind.
You will need to use a molecular sieve. This sounds technical, but it is
real easy. Just read this letter I got from Dr. Grant Carlson with
Eco-Rebuilders. "Since we remanufacture old third generation Corvettes
with big horsepower-high compression-fuel injected engines, homemade E85
is important to our customers. A molecular sieve is just zeolite.
....
To get the water out of the zeolite [
http://www.thomasregister.com/olc/adcoa/molecula.htm type 3A ] we just
broil it on the backyard grill - it is reusable indefinitely.

Make your own E85 fuel:
http://www.google.dk/search?q=cache:running_on_alcohol.tripod.com/id36.html
Citat: "...The use of ethanol as an octane booster is growing all the
time, as 20 states now ban MTBE, and more states will soon follow
suit--due to the fact that this toxic fuel additive is highly
carcinogenic, and has caused widespread contamination of ground water.
MTBE will be totally banned in the USA by 2012.
....
According to Joao Alvarez Filho, a Volkswagen plant manager in Brazil,
"The new Brazilian models can run on just gasoline, or 100 percent
alcohol, or any proportion mix of the two,"
....
Lowell says the E85 burns so clean, even with over 306,000 miles on this
car now, he figures he can easily get another 100,000 miles on this
engine, no problem! He says the E85 he buys is usually about 30 cents a
gallon lower than gasoline. His only complaint is that the Federal tax
incentives for ethanol fuel are supposed to be passed on to the
consumer: so really, the prices should be even lower than they are (the
gas retailers, in most cases, keep this money).

USDA REPORT: ETHANOL HAS LARGE, GROWING POSITIVE ENERGY BALANCE:
http://www.google.dk/search?q=cache:running_on_alcohol.tripod.com/id18.html
Citat: "...
The report, "The Energy Balance of Corn Ethanol: An Update," concludes
that ethanol production yields 34% more energy than is used in growing
and harvesting grain and distilling it into ethanol. The report can be
accessed on USDA's web site at:
