Hej igen
A number of years ago I reacted to our Christmas tree too. It ended up
spending the season on the deck with the birds. Our doctor told me it
was probably something they treated the tree with rather than the tree
itself (he said USA trees are treated to be flame retarded and to
smell good). I could tolerate trees we cut ourselves. When we moved to
an area where this was hard to do I bought a Norway Pine and decorated
it. Not quite as nice and of course it doesn't smell so I can handle
it. It saves a lot of money too as I keep the tree growing all year
and reuse it. It is getting quite big and will have it's fourth season
this year. If you are more broadly allergic to plants this won't work
but if it is the treatment or the pine smell it will.
Hope this helps.
Betty
