WHAT FOR IS THIS PROGRAM ?

Program can:
- find and show (old) AMI-BIOS password
- temporary collapse any BIOS
- save BIOS settings
- restore BIOS settings
1. Show bios password
The password is shown on the screen in brackets, eg. [KARAMB].
If password is not set, program shows []. This feature works only
with older versions of AMI Bioses.
2. Collapse bios
The program writes random numbers in bios, but does not update checksum
word. That causes so called 'BIOS checksum-failure'. When you boot the
computer, you are thrown directly to bios settings (wow, pass has gone!),
where you had to set all settings again OR use 'default settings'.
3. Save / restore bios
Before it makes any action, RemPass saves bios settings in file BIOS.SAV.
If you have to restore bios settings from file, use /R switch. If you want
to save your bios settings without any other action, use /S switch.
Warning: file BIOS.SAV have to be in same directory as program when using
/R switch.

QUICK TOUR: HOW TO GET RID OF BIOS PASSWORD ?
1. Make system floppy disk. ( FORMAT A: /S or SYS A: )
2. Copy RemPass to that floppy.
3. Run RemPass with switch /S. (eg. rempass /s).
4. If anything is OK, run Rempass without any switchs.
5. Reboot the computer.
6. It will say: 'BIOS checksum failure. Press (specific key).'
7. You will be thrown in bios setup program. Set new password, new settings
(use "Set default" option if you do not know much about bios). Enable
floppy and disk drives (use "Autodetect" option).
8. If anything goes wrong boot from floppy in A: drive. Run RemPass with
switch /R (eg. rempass /r). Everything is like before step 4.
