NR.1
1.You need an existing skin file (the .ims file)
2.Make a new, empty folder, and unzip the the .ims file into it.
3.Using the Bitmaps already there, replace them with your own images.
keep the same file names
4.Open the content.ini file with notepad, and change the file name to
what you want to call your new skin.
5.Close the content.ini - remember to save it.
6.Select all files in the folder... and zip them to a zip file using
the name in step 4, i.e newskin.zip
7.Convert the zip file to a cabinet file
(this can be done with an archive converter)
8.Change the file extension of the cabinet file to .ims...i.e. newskin.ims
9.Ignore the error message - it will have created the .cab file
10.Double click the .ims file to install it to IncrediMail
Things to remember:
- Creating the .cab file, usually leaves the zip file in the
folder too - don't get confused.
- You must make all your own images yourself,, unzipping the .aims file
is just to get the file names.
- The content.ini contains all the info on text color, and and sizing/spacing
for the skin, some of the settings will be needed to be changed for your new skin
to look/work good.
How to unzip an ims. file:
1.You need a zip software. ( below please find a hyperlink to winzip
enable you to download the software. (don't be confused the wipzip is
freeware for you. Don't register it)
2.After having installed your software you will see a window asking you
which winzip you want. Click on winzip classic.
3.Create a new folder and name it what you want to call your new skin.
4.Then use following path:
C:/documents and settings/your name i.e. arne juel/lokal settings/application dates/IM/skinss
(local settings may be a hidden folder, if so you have to change your folder settings)
5.Rightclick on one of the red envelops, then choose winzip and unzip it to the new folder.
If you have any questions please mail me and I will try to help you.
Enjoy!!!
This letterstyle is created by me.
Big hugs
Arne
