(lige syd for hovedbyen i sognet: Sörup)

og Martha Eriksson, født 2-17-1835 i Måsby,
(hedder vist Mossby i dag, endnu længere sydpå næsten ved Østersøen).
Bemærk US datoer: 10. Januar og henholdsvis 4. og 17. Februar.

Det materiale som Nelson familien har samlet, bygger ud over et besøg i Skåne,
udelukkende på familiære overleveringer i USA, og de er ikke kommet længere tilbage.

The family tree is based on the information you sent to Don, but especially the oldest parts are a little unsure.

We also tried to find the emigration travels for Elmore and his brother and sister without success.

Don mentioned Elmore emigrated twice, do you know when?
From which harbour?? To which in Canada???
Same for Hans (Peter)? and Maria??

Elmore came to Rockford Illinois, later on to Rockford Iowa, do you know when?
And when was he married?, With your grand mother, what is her name??
When was your father born? Where?? Was his first name Merle not Marlow???
Had he brothers? And sisters??

Many questions, but there are many Elmore and we have problems to locate him.

As you see we have found not only your great grand parents but also some great great parents.
If you want a more sure confirmation, and more details of other relatives,
we know where you can get it. (It costs a few SE kroner, not very much in $).

Nu har amerikanerne da lidt at arbejde med? PS Der er ingen KB´er mellem 1704 og 1740, derfor kan de nok ikke findes viet. Der findes dog "katekismilängder". Jeg er ikke helt sikker på hvad det er. Men mon ikke det er det samme som Emils familie (i Emil fra Lönneberg) var udsat for? Præsten overhører hele husstanden om de kan deres katekismus?

Thank you for the attachment. I did get it this time. It was fun reading the various names & dates of our ancestors.

One more thing about the info I sent last time about when Elmore/Elof's brother Hans and sister Maria emigrated the U.S. I looked closer at the Utvandrarekontrakt dated 28 March 1895, and only Elof Nilsson is listed on that document. No other travelers were included. I think this means that the three probably did not travel together in 1895.

Don returns home today. I expect he will be in touch with you about additional information.

jeg har nu sendt lidt supplerende materiale til Don Nielsen og hans søster,
(om nogle af de søskende, vi fandt uden for den direkte linie).

Hører jeg ikke fra Don snart, lukker jeg dette spørgsmål,
det andet om hvordan Elof emigrerede har vi jo ikke kunnet finde svar på

Samtidig er der den mulighed, at Don og søsteren mener de har materiale nok til at få en slægtsforsker til at skrive en slægtsbog til dem , uden de store omkostninger, og lader ham finde flere oplysninger om deres Svenske aner ??
