PartitionMagic "Error 1628" Info from Symantec
"Error 1628: Failed to complete script based install" when installing PartitionMagic or Drive Image
Situation:
You are attempting to install, reinstall, or repair PartitionMagic or Drive Image. At the beginning of the process, you see the message "Error 1628: Failed to complete script based install."
Solution:
This error is generated by the InstallShield® installer service. There are several potential causes for the error, and each has its own solution. Corrupted temp files
