Tidlig kastrering har været diskuteret her, så ,jeg ville lige komme med en
opdrætters erfaring (på engelsk)

Early Spay and Neuter is being preformed as early as 6 weeks (occassionally
earlier) I usually wait til 8-10 weeks. Generally, the kitten should be
very close to 2 pounds in weight - Recovery is miraculous Males it appears
to be no time at all, females, generally by the end of the afternoon - I
will generally not allow a male to leave sooner then 3 days post surgery a
female 5 days but, these are my rules.

When doing ESN most vets, will quote traditional fasting periods that are
recommended for kittens post 6mos -
Please remember that kittens are much smaller, and have less body fat and
store energy for shorter periods of time (pretty much why they eat non stop)
and should only be fasted approx 4 hours prior to surgery.
