Jeg havde det samme problem og kontaktede Brian Clark med spørgsmålet.
Hans svar er neden for.
I think you misunderstand what that setting does, --(Han referer til
preference indstillingen Save Read Articles)-- which is for the latest
set of article headers downloaded from the news server, give you the
ability to show or hide those posts that you've read since opening the
newsgroup.
It does not change the article list window to show all the articles that
have ever been displayed.
Like most newsreaders Thoth keeps track of what posts have been read.
The
normal newsreading method is to open a group to get a list of new
articles
from the news server, read which ones you want, then mark them all read.
The next time you open the group you see just the new posts, etc.
There are a variety of ways to see older posts. The Search command lets
you
selct one or more groups from a group window and then find all the posts
that match a search criterion (say a Subject hdader with the word Thoth
in
it, or a From header for a particular person). If you're reading a post
and
would like to see the previous posts in the thread, the Open Last
Reference
or Open All References command will try to get the previous post or
posts
from the server.
You can also select a group from a group window and use the Mark Unread
command. This tells Thoth to forget what posts you've read. Now you can
go
back and look at all the posts still on the news server.
