Hi!

I´ve got a Dimond viper 550 and an amd k-6 450 Mhz on Win98. The thing is
that it dosen´t work after the install...I know there is a way to get it to
work. I know i can fix it in the regedit...but i´ve lost the "place" were i
shall make the changes.

You have to install an AGP driver that is designet to the chipset on your
motherboard.
And you have to install eighter the Diamond Viper 550 driver from Diamond or
Nvidia's reference driver. There should be no reason to alter your registry
unless your motherboard manufacturer or Diamond tells you to in their readme
files to the drivers.

I have also a Dimond viper 550 and an amd k-6-2 (350Mhz) on Win98,
motherboard is Acorp and chipset is ALI
last night i reinstalled Win98 to a Win98se and have had only problems with
the graphic adapter.
I remember that when I installed the Viper 550 in the first place (the old
win98) I had to enable IRQ for VGA in the BIOS before the drivers could
function. But now when this function is enabled I will only see a black
screen as if the screen is turned off in power sawing when the drivers are
loaded.

A solution is greatly appreciated !!

I have solved my problem with the combination by downloading Nvidia's
updated AGP-driver for WIN98/95
at the lokation www.nvidia.com (w9x-631.zip) after installation of this and
installation of the diamond drivers every thing seems to work OK. I hope
this will help you as well
