Go to your device manager (right-click on My computer, hardware tab
and then device manager, then under "Computer" you'll find ACPI...
something, double click that and do an update of the driver manually
selecting Standard PC.
Once the cpu reboots, don't freak out though, because all the devices
will need to reload their respective drivers, so make sure to have 'em
handy. In the end, disclaimer: do this at your own risk

. Consider
yourself to be warned

. Later!

You might have to disable 'Plug n' Play OS' in your bios in order to
make it work.
