Leather halter (the word must be 'Grime'). Don't know 'skagler', must be
some other part of the harness.

Hi Ivan,

below are my best shots at your "cross-words"...

Best regards,
Jens Møller Jensen

> Langstole = Long chair (what is a 'long chair'?)
I guess this is the same as a 'langbænk' which is a long bench usually
placed along the dining table and often with a storage room underneath the
wooden 1-piece seat

> Eigesspids af Sølv = __?__ point/tip of Silver [Eiges = ?]
Don't know

> Tobaksdaase med sølv tridser = Tobacco box with silver [tridser = ?]
Tobacco tin with silver [pulley ?] - this doesn't make much sense, but I
just checked 'tridse' being the old form of Da. word 'trisse' which actually
means pulley..

> 3 Tin laage = 3 tin ? [laage = ?]
Don't know

> 1 blik vægtskaal = 1 tin ? bowl [vægt = ?]
1 sheet metal scalepan

> I gangen = In the Hallway/Walkway?
Yes

> noget træ Kjøkkentøj = some wooden? Kitchen utensils
Yes

> 1 laadden hue =1 ? hat [låden = ?]
1 woolen cap

> 1 sæt seletøi med læder Grine og Skagler = 1 set harness with ? ? and ?
1 set of harness with leather trace and halter

> [læder, Grine [liner], Skagler = ?]
Leather, trace, halter

> 1 Bagetrug = 1 ? [Bagetrug = ?]
1 bakingtrough

> 5 Steen kar = 5 ? containers [Steen = ?]
5 stone jars

> 4 Solde = 4 ? [Solde = ?]
4 sieves (or riddles if more coarse)

> 1 slibesteen = 1 ? [slibesteen = ?]
1 grindstone

> 1 huggestoel = 1 ? chair [hugge = ?]
Don't know the English word, but a 'huggestol' is a device for holding or
clamping a woodpiece while working on it.

> 2 Foustager = 2 ? [Foustager = ?]
2 casks (or barrels)

> 1 Blomsterhylde = 1 ? [Blomsterhylde = a window box for flowers?]
1 Flower shelf

> 2 bisteder = 2 ? [bisteder = bee hive stands?]
2 bee hives

Incidently, when I tried to contact you privately, my message came

Consider fjernmeg. an antispam measure: fjernmeg. = removeme.

Arne
