Madrid, August 19, 2003 - Panda Software's Virus Laboratory has reported the
appearance of the F variant of the Sobig worm.
Sobig.F spreads rapidly via e-mail in a message that is easy to recognize,
as it always has the following characteristics:

It is important to highlight that Sobig.F can only infect computers if the
user runs the file carrying the worm.
As Panda Software's international tech support services have started to
receive incidents involving this worm, the company advises users to treat
e-mails received with caution.
Panda Software also recommends users update their antivirus solutions
immediately. The multinational antivirus manufacturer has already released
the updates, which ensure their antivirus solutions detect Sobig.F.
Therefore, if your software is not configured to update automatically, you
