Vipco's udgave er widescreen, men ikke anamorphic som Anchor Bay's.
Fra
http://www.firelightshocks.com/ :
Vipco:
"Vipco has been widely criticised for not bringing fans the best possible
picture quality and truth be told City of the Living Dead is not the
greatest looking DVD I've seen. It's not terrible by any manner of means,
but the picture in not enhanced and although the disc is presented in
widescreen 1.85.1 (all copies of this film are in widescreen on DVD, just
not advertised as such on the packaging), print damage is evident in a few
scenes."
Anchor Bay:
"Anchor Bay have done a remarkable job of restoring this film, giving the
film a whole new lease of life(!). The picture is crisp, clean and pin-sharp
with deep, rich colours which amply showcases Fulci's garish colour schemes
and unique lighting. The sound is remastered into full 5.1 which truly
envelops you into the atmosphere of the whole thing. This has to be one my
favourite discs so far. I can't recommend it enough."
Vipco har et dårligt ry, får masser af stemmer til den årlige "prisuddeling"

2002:
"The votes for worst DVD releases of 2002 were pretty much monopolised yet
again by the collective output by one company...VIPCO! "
2001:
"But the biggest bee in horror fans bonnets this year looks to have been the
collective output by UK producers 'Vipco' with many readers responding to
the nomination for 'Worst DVD Release' with simply "anything by Vipco!"
